We had homeroom together and he was a really nice guy. Never saw him after high school so very interesting
to hear about his work and travels. God bless his soul. Bren Hill Shead
All of us that went to Daggett will never forget Eddie. He was liked by everyone I knew and played football in Jr. High. In 8th grade , he was captain of the football team and I was homecoming queen with him. This banquet was the same day we heard that President Kennedy was assinated in Dallas. He was raised by a singe Mom and had a little brother. He wanted to go to Texas A&M but that never happened. He wrote me the day he was killed that he was really fearful and kept his Bible with him. I was at school at Univ. of Arkansas and didn't receive his letter until after his death. He had gone by and visited with my Mom before he left. We were all shocked with the news of his death and can remember his funeral like it was yesterday. He was a wondrful person who died way too soon. I understand he was the gunman on the medical helicopeter that picked up the wounded. Thanks for adding him on to our memoriam. Bren Hill Shead

I was so shocked and saddened to learn Burton had passed. I had a great visit with he and Cindy at the reunion and we remembered years ago when Layne and I visited him in El Paso . His kids were little then and we went to the dog races! After the reunion , he emailed me a picture he had of me volunteering at the hospital in high school. He was a really good friend to me growing up and it sounds like he was loved by many God bless his soul. Bren Shead

What a great job the committee did to produce a really wonderful reunion. It took a lot of time and money to create such a successful event. Y'all are the best! We are really blessed to have such a great childhood surrounded by great friends. Let's stay in touch!??
